  • There are approximately 16,000 cases of Esophageal cancer diagnosed each year
  • 14,000 people each year die from esophageal cancer
  • 70% of those diagnosed are men who tend not to seek treatment
  • Most victims are caught by surprise due to lack of symptoms

Possible Symptoms of Barrett’s Esophagus which is a precursor to esophageal cancer:

  • Chronic cough lasting more than 6 weeks
  • Hoarseness
  • Difficulty swallowing
